Privacy Policy

The Set (the “App”) Last updated: September 28, 2026

1. Who we are

For any question about this policy or your data, write to thesetapplication@gmail.com

2. In short

3. What stays on your phone

The App stores the following in its private area on your device, which only you can access:

This data is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. It is deleted when you delete the item or uninstall the App. If you use iCloud Backup, it may be included in your device backup, which Apple manages under its own terms.

4. Automatic reading of call sheets

When you use the reading feature, the PDF, photo or text you choose is sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic PBC, a company based in the United States that provides the Claude AI model. It is sent only to extract the document’s data and return it to the App. The same applies to a transport list you load.

What you should know:

Nothing is sent unless you ask. Data is transmitted only when you tap the button to load a document. If you never use that feature, no document leaves your phone.

5. Other people’s data in call sheets

A call sheet almost always contains the names, roles and phone numbers of other people: crew, cast, suppliers.

When you load a document, that data is processed as described in section 4. You decide which documents to load, and we ask you to make sure you are entitled to, especially where the document is covered by a confidentiality agreement with the production.

If you are a production company using the App for work, you may be the controller of your crew’s data. In that case, please contact us to agree a data processing arrangement.

6. Sharing and exporting

The App lets you export call sheets and work logs as PDF files, and share them using the standard iOS share sheet, for example through WhatsApp or email. You choose the recipient and the app used; from that point the file is handled by that app and its own privacy policy, not by us.

The option to send your work log to a production manager prepares an email in the iOS Mail app, addressed to the email address you provide, with the PDF attached. The email is sent by you, from your own account: we never send it and never see it.

If you send a PDF to the App from another app through the share sheet, the file is copied to a private area on your device shared only between the App and its share extension.

7. Alerts

If you turn on alerts for your times, the App uses local iOS notifications. They are created and scheduled by your phone: they do not go through any server and tell us nothing. You can turn them off in the App’s settings or in iOS settings.

8. Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details or your Apple ID: Apple only tells the App whether your subscription is active. Payments are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

9. What we do not do

Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous diagnostic information, such as crash reports, if you have chosen to share it with app developers in your iOS settings.

10. Security

Data in transit to the AI service is encrypted. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS’s device encryption while your phone is locked with a passcode. No system is completely secure: keep your device updated and protected.

Under the GDPR we process data on the basis of:

Providing documents is voluntary. If you do not, the reading feature cannot work, but the rest of the App still does.

12. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. Because your data stays on your device, you can erase or change it yourself by deleting items or the App.

For data that passed through the reading service, write to **Anthropic PBC. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Italy this is the **Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.gpdp.it).

13. Children

The App is intended for people working in film and TV production and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

14. US residents

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in US state privacy laws, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

15. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
